This is one of the major reasons behind the unsuccessful blogging. Bloggers tried to work on multiple niches and did not able to give their best. Some of them also choose the wrong niche. So, you have to choose the right niche for your blog.  Before you start your blogging journey ask yourself that what your passion? In which field you have a good amount of knowledge.

Blogging really needs to be done carefully as there are rules for success.

You’ve mentioned all of the reasons and one I must agree with is choosing the wrong niche.

  2. Hi Vishwajeet,

I have seen so many that have quit blogging because of one or more of these reasons. I think the most common is they lack patience and marketing education.

When we start a blog, we choose our niche carefully and then keep on learning the many ways to market. When I first started I didn’t market for a long while. I didn’t have the knowledge of how to do so gently. The guru’s in my field were jamming their products down other people’s throats and I’m not wired that way. So I sat there and kept on blogging about things I was learning. Passing on the information to others.

Then it hit me…get a marketing coach…a good one that was successful and wasn’t the kind that was in it for himself. He first sat me down and asked me a million questions to see where I was at. From there he gave me the confidence and the know how of how to get out of my shell and market correctly.

I really appreciate your inputs regarding blogging failures. Thanks for stopping by 🙂

      Have a Great Day 🙂

  3. Lack of the proper plan could be the root cause to fail in blogging,
start with a plan, choose a niche you love to work on, create high-quality content and do some off-page SEO, the success will be there.

    Thanks for an amazing writing

  4. Hey Vishwajeet,
This is a very wonderful post, especially for new bloggers. Most time, people fail at blogging because of various reasons, but I think the biggest reason is not being ready for blogging before setting up one.

Installing WordPress is one part of blogging and that’s the easiest part. However, people usually think that once they’ve installed WordPress and created some pages, everything will start working out for good, not knowing that the main work lies in making the blog to be successful.

Finally, If you choose the right niche, creates great content, and promotes the content properly, and also stay consistent, I don’t see the reason why you won’t succeed.

    1. Hello Anil,

Thanks for your valuable input. I completely agree with that. I am also happy that you like the post. Thanks for stopping by 🙂

      Have a Great Day 🙂

  5. Great content, Vishwajeet.

I think the biggest reason is lack of a good coach. A lot of newbie bloggers prefer to do it themselves like we did when we started but because the competition is higher today, it becomes difficult for them to gain traffic and command influence that will make it easier to monetize their blog.

    Thanks for sharing.

  6. Hi Vishwajeet, I get sad whenever I see a blogger close up their site. I usually see it from a broken link on my own. I wonder, why? I think some didn’t make any money and just gave up. Maybe they didn’t promote it enough or spend enough time working on it.
When I first got started I had no idea how much time would be involved. I probably would have never started.
If a new blogger realizes they must spend a lot of time and some money to start they may make it a lifelong journey and investment.
It has taken me years to make money out of the blog and the side gigs I do along the way because of the blog. Last year I reinvested it all to make it a better blog.
There is more competition today than ever before so one has to be sure everything is working and most times longer form content is a must. That all takes TIME.
I also think having a passion for it is a must.
Thanks Vishwajeet and have a wonderful new week ahead.

    1. Hello Lisa,

You are absolutely right. Blogging takes time and you have to be patient and constantly write the new content on daily basis. Thanks for sharing your experience here.

      Have a Great Day 🙂

  7. Hi Vishwajeet,

Its very useful the way you have listed the don’ts in blogging. Surely if these mistakes are taken care of in the beginning itself, there would be a far greater chance of succeeding.

Picking up the wrong niche is perhaps the root mistake. Once this mistake has been committed one cannot provide quality content consistently and everything goes wrong. Later, we need to promote the blog.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this topic. Have a great day!

  8. This is a really informative article. As I have mentioned earlier, I am new to blogging and sometimes it is scary. Traffic is on the rising side but I think if your content is really good and helping others search engines would be kind to you.
I am also thinking about guest posting.
Thanks for sharing this amazing article.
keep up the good work 🙂

  9. Hi Vishwajeet,

Blogging is a lot harder than most people think. I’ve started several in the past and quit because of many of the reasons.

The biggest reason that I think most bloggers quit is that they think that it happens quickly. Blogging is not a quick method to make money. You have to think of it as a long-term strategy.

If you get into it thinking that you’re going to make a lot of money your first year, then you’ve already lost.

Yes, it does happen for some people, but that’s not the norm. It takes time to grow a successful blog.

When you first start your blog, you have to spend a lot of time working just to get it off the ground. If you don’t come from a marketing background, then you have a lot to learn.

The thing that has worked for me is investing in my blogging education. I make it a point to learn new things and implement what I learn.

It’s a lot faster than trying to learn it all on your own.

Thanks for taking the time to share these tips with us.

    Have a great day 🙂
